THE GIFT

IF YOUR GIFT IS NOT PACKED THE WAY YOU WANT IT, IT'S BECAUSE IT IS BETTER PACKED THAT WAY! ALWAYS APPRECIATE LITTLE THINGS; THEY USUALLY LEAD YOU TO ATTACHMENTS!

This is the story I read forwarded by my brother about a student finally reach his goal of graduating in a fine school with honors. He has a dream of having his own sports car whom he knows his father can afford to but it for him. He requested this as a graduation gift. Graduation day comes, after the ceremony, in his father’s room he called his son and handed a box personally wrapped on his own simple ways. The boy was surprised because it’s a Holy Bible, he got mad, walked away and live on his own.

Many years passed after successfully putting up his own business and got a good family, sometimes he remember his father living alone far away from him. One day he received a letter that his father passed away and willed all his possesions to him. He need to go back there to arrange everything and when he saw the bible given by his father, he opened it and read this phrase,
Matt 7:11, "And if ye, being evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your Heavenly father which is in heaven, give to those who ask Him?"
As he read those words, a car key dropped from the back of the Bible. It had a tag with the dealer's name, the same dealer who had the sports car he had desired. On the tag was the date of his graduation, and the words... PAID IN FULL…
He cried, sudden sadness and regret filled his heart…..
How many times do we miss God's blessings because they are not packaged as we expected?
Be thankful for whatever blessings we had from God.
